Three Years Later: 99% Club Still Forges Savings for Providers

In 2003, Gateway EDI took a risk. It launched a new voluntary customer support program called the “99% Club” it hoped would alter the claims transaction process. The concept was simple: Gateway EDI would reward health care providers who submitted clean claims with quicker reimbursement, and if they could sustain this performance, Gateway EDI would invite them to become a member of its exclusive “99% Club.” To make the launch effective, Gateway EDI created a buzz about the Club, set high performance standards, and invited its entire provider community to join.
