Situation

St. Louis Surgical Consultants PC, specializing in general and vascular surgery and located in west St. Louis County, MO, is a long-time client of Gateway EDI. When Mary Keune, accounts manager, joined the office many years ago, she was familiar with Gateway EDI from her previous employer, but St. Louis Surgical Consultants was not a client. When the time came to choose a new clearinghouse, Keune suggested Gateway EDI.

“I had worked with Gateway EDI at my first office and when I joined St. Louis Surgical Consultants they used a different vendor,” said Keune. “The competitive vendor did not have good customer service and I found the system to be cumbersome and unorganized. I suggested Gateway EDI because I knew from experience that the customer service is phenomenal, their system is easy to use and our claims get paid!”

When the office’s focus went to electronic medical records (EMR) and a new management system was needed, Keune said the system they choose will need to work with Gateway EDI.

Solution

St. Louis Surgical Consultants decided to utilize the Greenway Management System, and almost immediately, Greenway and Gateway EDI began working together to accommodate the office’s needs.

“Gateway and Greenway started communicating immediately and set up everything for me,” said Keune. “It was a no stress process. They kept me up-to-date but took care of everything.”

Added Keune, “Now, it’s a lot less work for me. Information is retrieved automatically. I don’t have to download, upload and retrieve all of the data. This keeps me on top of my claims, keeps me more efficient and saves me valuable time. All I have to do is press “send” and they do the rest of the work.
