John joined Gateway EDI in 2008 as vice president of product management and business development. Through his leadership of product strategy and direction, John ensures that Gateway EDI’s solutions meet customer needs and market requirements. His areas of responsibility include research, development and enhancements for all products, from inception through delivery and management.
John’s unique expertise in health care information technology provides him a complete view of the challenges and solutions for the industry today. Since 1994, he has spent time on both the payer and vendor side in both care management and revenue cycle management. Prior to joining Gateway EDI, he led all activities for provider connectivity at a large commercial health plan for 11 years. He also headed business development for a national care management/ health information exchange (HIE) company.
In addition, John has been actively involved in professional organizations in the health care and technology industries, serving as a director for the Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI) and as a commissioner for the Electronic Health Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC). John received both his bachelor’s degree and master of business administration (MBA) degree from Temple University.
