Tim Fogerty serves as CEO at Gateway EDI, where he champions Gateway EDI’s goals to continue its growth trajectory, revolutionize the industry with “game-changing” products and provide high levels of customer satisfaction. As CEO, he leverages his software development background and extensive knowledge of the health care industry to ensure that Gateway EDI’s products and services meet the future needs of health care providers.
Tim joined the start-up Office Tech in 1987, where he held responsibility for medical office management software sales, software development, customer service and finances. He quickly developed the company into a profitable small business, and advanced to the role of president and CEO of the company in 1990. Tim led the company’s evolution into an electronic claims clearinghouse service, eventually shepherding Office Tech’s transition to Gateway EDI, Inc. The company, in this reinvented mode, became nationally-known as a leader in helping providers manage the complexities of health care reimbursement.
Tim continues to build Gateway EDI’s leadership in the industry, and under his direction, the company recently signed on its 100,000th provider. Beyond focusing on organic growth, Tim played a central role in organizing and negotiating several landmark deals, including Gateway EDI’s purchase by the TriZetto Group in 2011. In partnership, the two companies are creating tools that make it easier for providers and payers to share critical clinical and financial data that is essential to transforming tomorrow’s health care system.
In addition to his work at Gateway EDI, Tim sits on the board of TriZetto Group and is active with several community organizations, serving as a board member of the Logos School and Ursuline Academy. Tim graduated from Washington University in Saint Louis with a degree in information systems.
